CESIP<\/h2>

A local and national institution<\/h3>


The Centro de Estudios Sociales y Publicaciones (CESIP \u2013 in English, \u201cCenter for Social Studies and Publications\u201d) was founded on September 9, 1976, and is a Peruvian organization based in Lima (Peru) that helps disadvantaged communities. CESIP carries out educational and social projects to support children, young people, and their families, giving them access to their rights and promoting their integration into society. <\/p>

Since the 1990s, CESIP has carried out almost 150 projects on topics such as school, violence prevention, and combating child and youth labor. Teachers, local leaders, and authorities also benefit from its measures. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization has also been addressing the mental health of children and families. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CESIP’s mission focuses on promoting and protecting the rights of children and young people. The organization focuses on: <\/p>

  2. The promotion and protection of rights at school.<\/li>
  3. A life without violence for children and young people.<\/li>
  4. Prevention and protection against child labor and adolescents already working.<\/li>

    Daily measures and regional anchoring<\/h3>

    CESIP operates at various levels: national, regional, and local, with a particular focus on vulnerable urban and rural areas, especially in the Lima and Cusco regions. Carabayllo (district of Lima), particularly the areas of Lomas de Carabayllo and El Progreso, has been a priority for CESIP for over 30 years. <\/p>
