Our project with Callescuela<\/h2>

Giving children and young people the key to a better future<\/h3>

Because every child deserves to grow up in safety and have big dreams.<\/p>

In nine communities, nearly 700 children and young people face challenges every day: limited access to education, the threat of violence, and a lack of support. Together with our partner Callescuela, we are trying to improve their everyday lives and those of their families. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Safe places for young children<\/h3>

Learn through play, grow up safely.<\/strong><\/p>

The Centers for Holistic Care (CEPI) offer a stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 4 years.<\/p>

  • Learning through play<\/li>
  • Cognitive, psychomotor, and social development<\/li>
  • Individual support for families<\/li><\/ul>

    Three-year-old Sofia lives in a family where her parents work a lot. Thanks to CEPI, she discovers colors and shapes, plays with other children, and begins to develop her motor skills and curiosity. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          • Over 300 children aged 2 to 4 receive comprehensive care for their psychomotor, cognitive, and socio-emotional development.<\/li>
          • 400 children and young people receive educational support and take part in extracurricular activities.<\/li>
          • 225 young people are educated about their rights and become agents of change.<\/li>
          • Families and communities receive resources and training to protect children and promote positive parenting practices.<\/li><\/ul>

              Our project with CONNATs<\/h2>

              Giving children and young people a voice<\/h3>

              <\/p>

              Because every young person has the right to participate in decisions that affect their life and their community.<\/strong><\/p>

              In ten municipalities spread across three departments and the capital city of Asunci\u00f3n, children and young people aged 6 to 18 are encouraged to actively participate in public life thanks to the mechanisms of SIPPINA (Paraguayan system for the protection of the rights of children and young people, which enables them to participate in decisions that affect their lives and their community) and with the support of our partner Connats.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

              The “Terere Jere” Leadership School<\/h3>

              Training young people to become agents of change. <\/strong><\/p>

              • 300 children and young people take part in training courses where they learn about their rights, how SIPPINA works, and civic engagement.<\/li>
              • The young people are accompanied by educators during visits to the communities.<\/li>
              • They participate in participatory assessments to evaluate the situation of children’s rights in their community and formulate concrete proposals.<\/li><\/ul>

                14 year-old Mart\u00edn, a member of a group in his district, is learning how to express his ideas, participate in debates, and propose concrete measures to improve child protection.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                • Children and young people participate in departmental and municipal councils, in SIPPINA committees, and other advisory forums.<\/li>
                • They conduct awareness campaigns on the topics of comprehensive protection, active participation, and combating violence and discrimination.<\/li><\/ul>

                  16-year-old Diego lives in a neighborhood where access to safe places is limited. He presents his assessment of his district to the local council and proposes protective measures for children. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                  The information and best practices gained from their participation are shared with councils, public institutions, schools, and local organizations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
